Job Description:
Job Summary:Under the direction of the immediate supervisor,
conducts technical installation and maintenance activities,
including but not limited to: Performs expert level troubleshooting
techniques via phone and on-site, can perform expert level
technical/mechanical problem solving on multiple lines of
equipment. Establishes, develops, and improves customer
satisfaction and attends all customer mandatory Environmental,
Health, and Safety classes. Facilitates and reconciles data
collection with the customer to be presented at tool performance
meetings if required. Provides customer with updated
non-confidential literature regarding equipment. Heavily involved
with new products and upgrades with customer and factory
engineering departments. Must have a complete understanding of all
standard operating procedures and plan daily activities with
minimal supervision. Must have the ability to finalize new system
installations, while managing install team activities if necessary.
Performs technical training activities to subordinates and
customers when necessary.Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:Performs expert level maintenance and the
responsibility of day to day scheduling of given assignments.
Performs expert maintenance on multiple lines of equipment
including OEM's with extensive/applied knowledge of hardware,
software, and process. Performs expert level troubleshooting skills
in order to resolve tool problems.Field Service Engineer will
establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. FSE
will attend customer fab safety classes while observing all rules
and regulations pertaining to customer site. FSE will help develop
with the customer a preventative maintenance program, along with
basic/expert troubleshooting procedures. FSE facilitates and
reconciles data collection with the customer to be presented at
tool performance meetings when required. Performs expert
maintenance on multiple lines of equipment with extensive/applied
knowledge of hardware, software, and process.Understanding and
knowledge of standard operating procedures. FSE's will familiarize
themselves with standard operating procedures for the field service
organization.FSE will coordinate daily activities with little
supervision. FSE will be available for after hour phone support
when required and after hour on-site service support if
necessary.FSE will perform technical training to less experienced
personnel within department and customers when necessary.Will
provide technical assistance and knowledge on product engineering
updates and designs.Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and
Education)Bachelor of Science, in electrical, mechanical, or
equivalent with additional applicable courses or professional
certification in electronics preferred. This position typically
requires 5 or more years related work experience with
extensive/applied knowledge of the Semiconductor Industry, Silicon
Wafer Fabrication, Environmental, Health and Safety, Flow Controls,
Pneumatics, Chemistry, and Computer Programming. Must possess good
verbal and writing skills to interact with peers, management, and
customers. Must show skills in utilizing basic electronic
troubleshooting equipment. Must show proficiency in basic computer
skills, i.e., Excel, Word, DOS, Windows Operating System, and
E-Mail. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate outside of area
based on business needs.Must be willing to travel at a moment's
notice, staying through the completion of the task
assigned.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Must feel
confident and comfortable working around hazardous chemicals.
Ability to work within a confined space. Ability to lift heavy
loads up to 50 lbs. Must be able to discern and appropriately
handle confidential material and information. Must be able to
possess the ability to think quickly and get answers to problems
fast. Must have the ability to handle multiple problems at any
