Cath Lab Tech Location: Portland, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,659 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Pediatric Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. - Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. - Two years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience. Description: Assists the physician during cases while operating a variety of complex radiologic imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and ultrasonography within the Cath Lab suite. Circulates in the procedure room and operates the imaging equipment in both adult and congenital procedures. Prepares the patient and ensures supplies are ready under sterile conditions for the procedure. Scrubs in with the physician and assists in performing the procedure. Utilizes fine motor skills for prepping supplies and equipment, including threading stents and balloons on wires. Accurately obtains x-rays for the exams while being respectful of the patient's abilities and safety. Operates automatic injectors and selects the appropriate contrast agent for the patient and exam under the direction of the physician. Collaborates with other staff to provide patient care during examinations. Responsible for equipment maintenance and use, including recognizing, troubleshooting, reporting, and documenting equipment malfunctions. Coordinates borrowing equipment from other departments as needed. Works independently on-call with department physicians and nursing staff. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and pediatrics experience. Certification in Cardiac Interventional and/or Vascular Interventional is preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities related to Cath Lab technology are also desirable. This position involves working with neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients.
