Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse cares forpatients who have under gone anesthesia. The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurse is responsible for observingand treating a patient postoperation and making sure that they safely awakefrom anesthesia. The PACU nurse mustmonitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to make sure that the sedationis wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactions occurring and patientsare regaining consciousness. Minimum Requirements: Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working. ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements.
