Job Description:
Our Network Engineer is responsible for providing computer
network services to our customers as well as aiding our IT Manager
with general internal IT support needs. Under the supervision of
the IT Manager and Operations Director, this position will be
responsible for designing, installing, configuring,
troubleshooting, and repairing external customer network equipment
while also aiding internal employees with troubleshooting, repair,
installation, maintenance, and management of their computers,
printers, software, web-based applications, and associated
accounts. Up to 20% travel required annually for planned, scoped
project work. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES - Create networking environments
by estimating, designing, procuring, configuring, documenting, and
coordinating system installation - Establish, document, and
implement system standards - Contact customer via email and phone
to gather requirements - Investigate data network faults in local
and wide-area network situations - Configure and install firewall
environments per customer needs, standards, and best practices -
Set up routing, switching, and firewall equipment - Provide
troubleshooting and fault discovery if problems arise during the
installation - Maintain regular contact with project managers,
engineers, and other stakeholders - Create technical documentation
to aid in future troubleshooting. - Patch management for Windows
OS, third-party applications, and firmware - Internal IT support
and troubleshooting, including with the following services: o
Installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks o
Performing IT maintenance, improvements, and backups o Monitoring,
tracking and execution of IT projects, troubleshooting activities
and Support tickets o Assist with monitoring system performance o
Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone and
in-person in a courteous manner. Ensure that all system users are
cared for as problems arise. Find solutions and implement. o Test
fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved o AD, AzureAD,
and Office365 account management. o Maintain company hardware
inventory and inventory tracking system for all IT equipment. o
Assists with various IT projects as assigned. o Support new hire
setup and training o Maintain and support IT policies, procedures,
best practices, templates, and work instructions in accordance with
established document control policies and procedures. o Maintain
company hardware inventory and inventory tracking system for all IT
equipment. EXPECTATIONS - Maintain punctual, regular, and
predictable attendance. - Be responsive and proactive. Show rapid
response to all issues as well as follow through until it has
resolution. Reply to voicemails, emails and any other communication
received within 24 hours, even though an answer is pending, or task
being completed to keep user informed. - Must be flexible and
prepared to take on new challenges, learn new things, and think on
your feet. - Bring solutions and options to problems - Ability to
work independently with little or no supervision - Work
collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
- Strong technical documentation skills - Strong interpersonal

skills, with ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure -
Maintain strict confidentiality in all duties - Take direction
respectfully from manager - Able to travel including overnight
stays - Able to cover other shifts when others are absent. -
Available after-hours by phone during alternating on-call periods -
Collaborate with other professionals to maintain familiarity with
IT industry standard practices and functionality. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have any supervisory
responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to perform job duties with

High school diploma or equivalent - Computer network
certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA or CCNP (preferred) - Three
or more years in similar role or comparable work experience -
Experience with Microsoft business applications such as Excel,
Word, PowerPoint, etc. - Experience with account management in
Active Directory and/or Azure AD account management. - Experience
with installing, troubleshooting, supporting, repairing, and
maintaining: - Network equipment - Windows computer systems -
Network printers LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to create clear and
concise written processes and procedures, routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate
between technical and non-technical people. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs. COMPUTER SKILLS Working knowledge of
Microsoft operating system, applications and tools, understanding
of networking and network administration, active directory and
backup systems. Including Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office
365, Microsoft Active Directory, SharePoint and Microsoft Windows
2016/2019 Server. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Must be critical thinker and problem-solver with
attention to detail and ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL
