Job Description:

Are you ready to join a great team?Our Controller has strong financial and systems knowledge to create, design, direct, automate and implement data systems used for managing company financial data and reports. This position is responsible for ensuring data integrity for accurate reporting. Oversees financial management of the company; cash flow, forecasting/management, monthly financials and KPI reporting. Prepares accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end statements and supplemental reporting. Works closely with Finance department team and maintains regular communication with executives and budget owners. Analyzes data to recommend changes that drives strategy to reach annual company key results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for identifying areas for forward moving improvements, including monitoring financial and project data for accuracy and trends, strategic business development, expediting financial and metric data with improved accuracy and automation.
  • Obtains input from executive leaders and stakeholders, for the creation of the overarching financial and project related data strategy, governance, controls, compliance and policy updates as needed.
  • Monitors corporate cash flow and prepares monthly forecasts.
  • Designs, Develops, Implements, Monitors, Automates and analyzes data systems for Executive Dashboard, performance indicators and quality metrics.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and supplemental reporting, manages month end and year end closings and account reconciliations.
  • Ensures GAAP compliance.Job Duties
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements to management
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of automated standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
  • Oversees and directs financial audit, tax and financial reporting activities for the organization
  • Establishes and directs accounting policies, procedures and controls
  • Directs procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services
  • Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
  • Oversees the revenue recognition process including WIP
  • Responsible for audit coordination
  • Prepares fixed asset depreciation schedules
  • Liaison with bank for banking and credit needs
  • Ensures that all federal and state tax requirements are met, and forms filed
  • Directs corporate labor costing annually
  • Oversees Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Prepares Federal, State and Local Tax Analysis as required
  • Administers the corporate Profit-Sharing Plan
  • Responsible for keeping accounting database in good order
  • Manages all state and local corporate licensing requirements
  • Other projects as required by management
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance
  • Brings solutions and options to problems
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure

      • Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting or equivalent
      • Plus minimum of 10 years full-cycle accounting experience required
      • Plus minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience required
