Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Job Description:

The Field Service Engineer performs intermediate customer support activities involving the installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance of complex equipment and systems to ensure proper working order. This position may require up to 50-75% travel throughout the United States and at overseas locations supporting strategic customers. This is a full-time position which at times may require working various shifts and additional hours per day as needed to resolve Customer issues. For these cases, the extra work hours will be paid as overtime.

Experience in Wet Processing a strong plus.
Performs on-site installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and customer training sessions.
Applies diagnostic techniques and use of documentation and test equipment. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Uses training and experience to identify some process, software, or hardware related system problems.
Provide feedback to Product Development team to refine system requirements and specifications as a result of system testing and experience at the user level.
Work with product engineers to refine system control and calibration software based on user experience.
Assumes responsibility for full Customer satisfaction assuring continued excellent relations with customer. Builds and maintains customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and the sharing of collective knowledge. Is consistently able to operate in high pressure or ambiguous situations. Solicits customer feedback. Understands the impact of various actions/decisions on the account.
Performs startup activities from installation through sign off. Follows all procedures and ensures correct revisions of procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Identifies an improve procedures as required.
Applies diagnostic techniques and the use of proper documentation and test equipment.
Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.

Minimum two years' experience in field service support
Experience in Wet Processing a strong plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers to resolve technical equipment issue
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Reading and Writing fluency in English
Ability and Willingness to travel frequently out of home basPI195877576
