About your Role:The State Director, under the supervision of the
Vice President of the Western Division, is responsible for the
leadership, supervision and coordination of all development and
operational aspects of Renew and Maple Star Oregon. The State
Director supervises programs and administers all related
operational functions. The State Director performs liaison
functions with contracting agencies; and, is ultimately responsible
for personnel, financial and program management functions as well
as the operations of the regions. This position tends to the
oversight of risk management by following policy and procedures to
identify and analyze the nature and severity of risks in the work
environment. The State Director will lead and coordinate in
developing and coordinating programs, policies, procedures and
practices in keeping with Pathways and community standards as well
as with Contract and Licensure requirements. The position is
responsible for, will oversee, and remediate deficiencies
associated with contracted services, and will act as a liaison
between back office support and all programs to preserve the
standards of operation established by the company including making
certain all budget and financial projections are achieved.
Does the Following Apply to You?Master's Degree in a Human Service
field, or Business Administration with 7 years' administration and
management work experience; OR, a Bachelor's Degree in the above
fields with 10 years' administration and management work experience
which includes: - Experience in program development,
implementation, and management - Experience in external and
internal relationship building. - Experience in personnel
management - Experience in financial management to include develop
& maintain a budget - Experience in contract negotiations with
vendors and funding sources - Experience in quality assurance and
compliance - Experience in management service delivery and staff
productivity - Effective communication skills: Ability to express
oneself; accuracy in conveying the company's mission, data,
information and other important business related needs. - Critical
thinking skills: o Analyzing situations and information, and using
sound judgment to make decisions and determine appropriate
course(s) of action.o Ability to analyze and focus on the way that
a system's constituent parts interrelate and how systems work over
time and within the context of larger systems. - Assertive decision
making: Ability to prioritize tasks. Knows where to access
information or support. Can make decisions if needed to, with full
documentation of actions to follow-up. - Organizational Skills:
Planning, organizing daily operations and fiscal activities.
Prioritizing and implementing directives for a variety of
departments. Independent work ability; requiring minimal
supervision. - Ability to manage a 14.5M budget and 200 employees.
