Hospice - Physician at Oregon Region Hospice Program - Provider Solutions Development summary: The Hospice Physician at Providence Oregon Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life medical care and symptom management for patients in home and inpatient settings. The role involves leading interdisciplinary teams and collaborating closely with home health, palliative care, and hospital providers to ensure holistic patient-centered care. The dedicated team is seeking an experienced Hospice Physician who can not only lead bedside care for those experiencing distressing symptoms but also inspire collaboration across the hospice’s many disciplines. As part of Providence Hospice Oregon’s comprehensive Home and Community Services program, this vital work is integrated with Home Health, Palliative Medicine, Geriatrics, and hospital practitioners, ensuring every patient receives holistic, thoughtful care tailored to both their medical needs and emotional well-being. Full time position Outpatient, community-based setting with in-person patient care greatly encouraged both in the home and with hospital privileges for general inpatient care; May do virtual visits on occasion Work as a member of a provider team consisting of HPM trained physicians and Nurse Practitioners and serve as a back-up to the Hospice Medical Director Provide primary oversight for one of five IDTs in the Portland Metro area, including our service areas in the Gorge and Clark County, WA Competitive salary, quality incentive, CME funds and hours, and relocation assistance available Comprehensive Employed Provider Benefits Package, including Paid Time Off, Health, Life, Dental, Vision, Disability and Malpractice Insurance Compensation is $127.50 per hour Where You’ll Work The Oregon Region Hospice Program is responsible for the medical direction and oversight of hospice services throughout the region’s ministries, including care provided in home settings and intermediate care, assisted living and acute care facilities.
