Recreational Therapist - PACE at Providence Non-RN - Oregon
summary: The Recreational Therapist at Providence PACE provides
therapeutic social and recreational activities tailored to elderly
participants to support their active and independent living. This
role involves individual assessments, activity planning and
implementation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and supervision of
aides. The position is part-time with requirements including a
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy and certifications in BLS
and Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Description This part-time
position will be working 32 hours/week on weekdays, day shift. The
Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social,
recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts
individual assessment to identify the participants' individual
interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of
individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary
care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his
assigned group of participants. Assists with training and
supervising assigned aides. Leads facility-wide
participant-centered events. Providence PACE is a Program of

qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy. Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Within 6 months
(180 days) of hire: Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification
Preferred qualifications: 2 years Providing recreation with the
