Description RN – PICU at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
is a per diem part time position working during weekdays and
weekends on a day shift. A Day in the Life: RN in the Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
– Portland, OR Are you a compassionate and skilled RN ready to make

Unit (PICU) at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center – where
expertise meets heart. What Does a Typical Day Look Like in the
PICU? Each shift in the PICU brings purpose, challenge, and the
chance to be a vital part of a family’s journey. Our nurses provide
critical, life-saving care for infants, children, and adolescents
with a wide range of conditions. Morning Rounds – Collaborate with
a multidisciplinary care team including intensivists, respiratory
therapists, pharmacists, and child life specialists. You’ll
advocate for your patients during care planning, ensuring their
needs—and their families’—are front and center. Hands-On Care –
Administer complex medications, manage ventilators and monitors,
and respond swiftly to emergent situations. Every detail matters
when lives are on the line. Family Support – In the PICU, families
are part of the care team. You’ll educate, comfort, and guide them
through one of the most challenging times in their lives. Team
Collaboration – The environment is intense, but you’re never alone.

extraordinary care. Required Qualifications: - Graduation from an
accredited nursing program. - Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse
License. - Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart
Association. - Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License - if
practicing within this state. - Within 90 days of hire: National
Provider PALS - American Heart Association. - 1 year Nursing
