DESCRIPTIONWE ARE OFFERING SIGN ON BONUSES OF 10% OF YOUR ANNUAL SALARY.Mental Health Specialist 1 or 2 - This position provides therapy/treatment, diagnostic, crisis intervention, consultation, evaluation, coordination, monitoring, follow-up, mediation, intake and referral services for individuals, couples, families, and groups, including intervention and prevention services. Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, psychology, guidance, counseling, family therapy, or related degree. JOB SUMMARYThere are multiple vacancies within the Mental Health Department. These vacancies can be filled at the 1, or 2 level. Candidates need only to apply once; all applications will be screened for the minimum requirements at the highest level they are qualified for. In the case of higher level vacancies, names from the eligible list will be referred based on qualifying level. For lower level vacancies, higher level candidates on the eligible list may not be excluded from being referred. The Mental Health Specialist position is used across different branches of the Mental Health Departments. Applicants are asked for their preference of which program they would like to apply for.

• Perform client evaluations and record them in the client's chart.
• Develop individual treatment or habilitation plans.
• Provide leadership and represent the department at inter-agency habilitation staff meetings.
• Provide education, technical assistance and consultation to other service providers.
• Provide information to prospective clients and the general public about the services available through this department and by other community agencies.
• Provide client services and complete documentation of the services provided in accordance with department policies and Oregon Administrative Rules.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy.
• Develop and maintain effective, harmonious and reasonable work relationships withothers.Maintain regular and predictable work attendance.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMental Health Specialist 1:Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field is required. Professional or supervised practicum-level experience in providing similar services to persons with similar problems or concerns is desirable but not required. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described may be acceptable. Mental Health Specialist 2:In addition to the requirements listed for a Mental Health Specialist 1 above requires Oregon licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSSalary Mental Health Specialist 1: $4804 - $6132 Monthly, $57,648 - $73,584 AnnuallySalary Mental Health Specialist 2: $5297 - $6764 Monthly, $63,564 - $81,168 Annually Salaries are subject to a COLA adjustment in July 2024
