*Assistant Service Manager*


*Responsibilities:*


*LAVA AUTO & TIRE SERVICE* is looking to hire an *Assistant* *Service Manager, *you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying previous customer service history; reviewing service contract coverage; developing estimates; interacting with technicians and customers alike; writing repair orders.


- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.


- Verify service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions of service contract to the customer.


- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including any deductibles and making repair presentation to the customer


- Write repair orders (RO) by describing vehicle symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.


- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.


- Present a friendly, professional greeting to customers and helps identify, confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns.


- Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keeping customer informed on completion times and service expenses.

- Minimum of two years previous sales experience


- A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service


- Ability to meet and exceed customers' expectations with a great attitude


- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment


- Must possess computer skills and able to work with a verity of programs


- Extensive mechanical understanding of automobile parts


- Be at least 21 years of age


- Possess an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license


- Excellent communications and organizational skills


- Detail oriented


- Must be a person of the highest ethical standards


- Possess a strong work ethic
