County website. What Does the Dept of Community Services Do? The
Department of Community Services, or DCS, is a trusted partner
helping to create thriving and inclusive communities. Equity and

heard. This internship will be in our Transportation Division.
Multnomah County Transportation Division manages and maintains
nearly 270 miles of roadway serving the cities of Fairview,
Troutdale, and Wood Village, as well as unincorporated areas
including Sauvie Island, the West Hills and the Corbett area. The
division also maintains six Willamette River bridges and critical
infrastructure. Our work spans six core programs: Transportation
Planning and Development, Road Engineering, Road Maintenance,
Bridge Engineering, Bridge Maintenance, and Survey. Internship
Description & Responsibilities: Working under the direction of
Bridge Operations staff, the intern will create a 3-4 minute short
film about the history of county bridge operators. They will use
existing photos and videos as well as create more media as needed.
They will help tell the story of the people who have operated our
historic bridges. Learning Outcomes: Internships are inherently
learning experiences for students and a description of the expected
learning outcomes shows candidates how they will benefit from the
experience . The intern will gain hands-on experience in
storyboarding, creating a short film, and digital media production.
Minimum Qualifications and Education : Candidates should have
completed within one year or enrolled in a college/university

Empowerment Lens ) Strong understanding of video production
techniques, including filming, lighting, audio recording, and
editing. Experience using mobile devices for video capture and
video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro,
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and i Movie. Story boarding and content
design. Working knowledge of Google Drive. Ability to capture
compelling visuals and tell engaging stories through video. Strong
oral and written communication skills. Strong time management
skills and ability to work independently. In accordance with Oregon
