12 weeks Hours: 30 hours a week Telework: In Person Only Building
Physical Location: 1401 NE 68th Ave Portland OR 97213 Does This

details found on our College to County website. What Does the EBP
Team Do? EBP (Evidence Based Practice) is the systematic use of
interventions, policies, and decision-making approaches that are
grounded in rigorous research and proven to improve outcomes for
youth. EBP Leads work with juvenile detention line staff and
managers to bring evidence-based approaches to our youth enrichment
programs.They work with the department's Volunteer and Internship
Programs Manager to host community partners and volunteers who
offer a variety of groups and learning/social opportunities for our
youth. They are also Juvenile Custody Support Specialists (JCSS)
who provide direct youth supervision when required. EBP Leads
collaborate with unit staff to support staff-led skill building and
goal setting groups. Internship Description & Responsibilities:
This position directly supports the work of the EBP lead in
juvenile detention with current and future projects. Cultural
celebrations Family gatherings Enrichment activities Provide
support with organization and unit upkeep. Communicate and
collaborate with staff, volunteers, managers, and community
partners to uphold and implement evidence based practices. Co-lead
skills and/or enrichment groups. Learning Outcomes: Develop an
understanding of the Conditions of Confinement in Multnomah County
Juvenile Detention. Learn and apply best practices of working with
youth in a detention setting to include: Equity Trauma-informed
care Restorative practices Enhance skills working within a
collaborative team environment. Organization and prioritization of
competing responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications and Education :
Candidates should have a desire to explore public service and/or
work with adolescents. College to County Program Eligibility
