Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in McMinnville, OR, with a contract duration through June 5, 2026. This onsite role requires dedication to diverse student populations across multiple age groups and special needs categories. Available Positions: 2x Elementary Developmental Classrooms: Serving 15 students each with behavioral, ASD, and communication needs; supported by 6 assistants. 1x Elementary Behavior Classroom (Grades 3-5): 16 students with 5 assistants. 1x Middle School Resource Room: 40 students supported by 2 shared assistants. 1x Elementary Resource Teacher managing 2 sites approximately 2 miles apart, with 35 students and an assistant at each location. 1x Middle School Behavior Classroom: 15 students and 5 assistants. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with varied developmental, behavioral, and communication challenges. Collaborate with assistants and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Manage classroom environments that foster learning and inclusivity. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needs. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration. Qualifications: Active Special Education certification or license valid in Oregon. Proven ability to manage classrooms serving students with ASD, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities.
