What you will earn: $18.00-$26.00 per hours depending on experience BENEFITS/PERKS: Competitive pay (paid each Friday) Strong benefits package - medical, dental, vision, paid life insurance, and paid long-term disability 401(k) plan with a company match POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently looking for a Commercial Roofer in the Portland, OR area. The Roofer is responsible for installing roofs and repairing existing roofs for properties. They will also help ensure roofs are installed and repaired safely, and guide our laborers as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck Apply roofing materials as required Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris Use hand tools such as hammers, electric staplers and electric spraying tools Performs other work-duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school education or GED Construction safety certification such as OSHA training is a plus PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License Spray coating experience a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads Previous experience in roofing, construction, or related scope of work General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques, and specialties Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or earplugs, depending on the job Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors Able to lift 40 pounds Climb a ladder safely Usually work close to others, typically within a few feet The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
