JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides reception and administrative support services to patients and providers within and outside the SHS system. Acts as a resource for questions about clinic practices. Handles accounts payable and front office issues in coordination with the clinic manager. May be responsible for training new front office employees. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan Wound, Vein # Hyperbaric Medicine treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound vein and ostomy, as well as hyperbaric medicine. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience and/or training#in medical/insurance terminology required (i.e. ICD-10, CPT codes, etc). Experience with practice management scheduling systems preferred. AGH Wound Ostomy: One (1) year experience in a medical office required. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation. Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt to offer best possible care to patients. Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.# Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.# Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology.
